A little bit about me...

I am from England but moved to Australia nearly 20 years ago (yikes!). I now live in the outer suburbs of Melbourne with my three children and needy pets. I get back to the UK when I can and consider that I have two homes :-)

I yearn to be organised and spend an awful lot of time making lists but, really, I am far happier either reading or writing a book

I was born worried - and now I put it to good use - worrying about my characters. I love writing for different lines - I adore the dark brooding heroes for my Modern/Presents books and, when I need a change, I write a Medical Romance. That said, a fair few of my Medical Romance heroes are dark and brooding too, but I love the diversity of that line because now and then I do something completely different. I have my first book for MIRA coming out in March 2012. Again, it is something completely different and I look forward to telling you more about it closer to the time.

Like a lot of, us I juggle work with being a mum. My idea of a holiday is a writing conference - it is wonderful to be amongst my colleagues and to talk books and plot. I had an ambition to go to the American conference and this year I fulfilled it - in July 2011 the conference was held in NY and it was absolutely fantastic.

Anyway, thank you for dropping by, I hope to add to the site as I go.

Happy reading

PS) Regular visitors will know that I do my own website - I am a bit of a control freak and I love working things out for myself (with my kids help) and that is why it is not all glossy and sometimes, frankly, it is terrible :-) Be warned - I sometimes get a fierce yearning for purple and birds in trees and things!! I am always getting tickets on the sites help lines and begging them to just tell me what to do instead of their strange Big Bang computer speak, but I am very proud that I *sort of* understand words like HTML (well, not really, but it sounds good). Anyway, it has turned into a sort of hobby -  one I am not very good at, but one that I, surprisingly, enjoy.
